HARD WATER

Hard drinking water is generally

not harmful to one's health, but

can pose serious problems to

home appliances, faucets,

shower heads and pipes.  The

professionals at The Water Clinic

can determine what is needed to

make your water soft.

CHLORINE TASTE OR SMELL

Chlorine adds objectional tastes

and odors to your drinking water

as well as causing dry skin and

hair.  While municipalities use

chlorine to disinfect the water

supply, it should be filtered out

before you use it to eliminate

these effects.

TANNINS

Earthy or musty taste, color and

odor: even though Tannins are a

natural compound, they can

make your water taste and smell

bad and add yellowish, brown

color.

IRON AND MANGANESE

Iron and manganese can leave

rust stains on clothing, appliances

and fixtures. What's more, these

metals can make your water taste

and smell bad.

ROTTEN EGG SMELL

Hydrogen Sulfide can give your

water an unpleasant smell and

even make it undrinkable.

Corrosion of metal parts in

appliances is accelerated by

Hydrogen Sulfide.

LOW pH

Ever noticed blue/green staining

around your pipes and sink? Acidic

water, low pH, can dissolve copper

pipes resulting in this blue/green

stain.
